Inspired by the chapel of St. Basil in Texas through both it’s form and symbolism. The sculptures’ composition is inspired by the composition of the chapel which consists of 3 different forms that come together to form the chapel. The slit in the sculpture is inspired by the entrance of the chapel to symbolize the meaning of the word Earth as humans are born into earth and go back to it through the slit of life.

Concept:
The sculpture is inspired by the ribbon chapel in Japan, as the sculpture is created using one continuous ribbon. The letters wrap around each other the same way the staircase wraps around the chapel to generate the form of the word Passion, شغف in Arabic. The design of the sculpture emphasizes on the abstract meaning of passion that is often continuous and limitless.

يمثل العمل حصان احادي القرن Unicorn اضافة الى مطلع بيت شعري ” الخيل والليل والبيداء تعرفني” للشاعر العباسي ابو الطيب المتنبي.
حفر النص على نسختين موضوعتين على القاعدة.

اسلوب الكتابه مستوحى من الخط الديواني الذي كان يستعمل في ديوان السلطان العثماني خاصة في مراسلات السلطان. فقد صمم هذا الخط وتم تعديله وتطويره ليتناسب مع مكانة السلطان المرموقة.

اما الحصان احادي القرن فهو كائن اسطوري يرمز الى القوة والاندفاع والطهارة لذلك يعتبر شخصية محببة للأطفال.

الحصان مفرغ بمربعات متفاوتة الاحجام تشير الى التراكم الكمي للذاكرة ببعديها العاطفي والذهني.

مجمل العمل يمثل مفاهيم متنوعة تعبر وتربط بين التاريخ، التراث، الحاضر الفتي، العفوية، البراءة، القوة والاندفاع.

عمل يضم الحروف التي تميز اللغة العربية عن غيرها من اللغات وهي الضاد و الصاد والطه والظه

This sculpture was inspired by the futuristic museum’s monument. It is made of Aluminium and Patina. The power of intention to work and construct is symbolized by the hand holding the monument. The idea of innovation is represented by the two horizontal pieces moving out of the oval, which creates a path out of the closed system. The connection and balance between materialistic and spiritual values are represented by the horizontal and vertical lines.
